Belle Epoque Chalcedony and Diamond Pendant / Necklace

About the Item

A Belle Epoque chalcedony and diamond pendant, in neoclassical style the two round cabochon-cut chalcedonies within a border of rose-cut diamonds, with rose-cut diamond-set bow surmount, suspending a line of six old European-cut diamonds terminating to a cabochon chalcedony with diamond-set surround, all set in gold and suspended by platinum chain, Russian possibly by Bolin, circa 1900, measuring approximately 6.6 x 3cm, the chain measuring approximately 47cm long, gross weight 13.5grams, accompanied by later fitted case. This intriguing Belle Epoque chalcedony and diamond pendant comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. The three cabochon-cut chalcedonies are set in mounts surrounded by rose-cut diamonds, suspended by a romantic bow. This piece is of Russian origin and would be an elegant addition to the centre front of an evening gown. This Belle Epoque pendant is in excellent condition. Unmarked, tested as 14ct gold with platinum trace chain and 14ct gold clasp.
