This necklace is in excellent condition. Unmarked tested as 18ct gold and silver. This magnificent necklace was made by Carlo and Arthur Giuliano in around 1900. Carlo Giuliano (1831-1895) was a designer renowned for his revivalist pieces. When he died in 1895, his two sons Carlo and Arthur took over his London based business. This remarkable piece features stunningly detailed enamel work throughout and delicate scrolling motifs. The black and white enamel contrasts beautifully with the yellow gold settings, and goes wonderfully with the lustrous pearl details, bright hued sapphires, and lively diamonds. This is a spectacular piece: a true work of art, created by master craftsmen of the period. It comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. Should you choose to make this purchase we would be delighted to send it to you in a Bentley & Skinner handmade leather case packed in a gift-wrapped Bentley & Skinner black and gold presentation box. Shortly afterwards we will send you on a valuation for insurance purposes for your reference and safekeeping. Please note: because of the high value of this item, an export licence will be required to ship this item outside of the United Kingdom. This process will add an extra 2-4 weeks onto the shipment time. Thank you for your understanding.
