About the Item
18" 925 Thai Sterling Silver Rope Chain featuring a 1" long four-prong tension-mounted teardrop faceted crystal. Made by a Thai Silversmith, marked "925 Thai".

About Thai Silver:
The reason why this particular type of silver is desirable is that Thai silver is nearly pure silver. It is 92.5% ore. It is likely mixed with 7.5% copper, making it stronger than pure silver. Another special characteristic of Thai silver (as opposed to American Sterling Silver) is that, because of the particular alloy that it's made with, it is less likely to tarnish. Of course, if this necklace were to ever need polishing, a simple silver polishing cloth would restore its luster. It's recommended to keep away from moisture and to store in a small airtight bag.
My comments:
This is such a sparkly, gorgeous piece that can easily be dressed up for an elegant evening out or paired with a casual outfit. This crystal is lovely in person. Although it's a clear stone, there is a stunning light refraction that emits multiple colors of the light spectrum from certain angles. The necklace has a classic, timeless style and the quality of the materials will allow it to be a go-to.
