About the Item
This master piece is certified natural nephrite jade "Mutton Fat Jade" by two different labs! One certificate is from Xinjiang China the birth place of Heitan jade and the other, an international recognized cert from Hong Kong. The certificate actually says “mutton fat jade”. This piece is not only a true Mutton Fat white Hetian Jade, it is also carved by a master jade carver. Look at the carving of this beautiful piece. The raw material or river pebble was probably brown (jade skin) color with patches on the outside. No one knew the inside color. Mutton Fat white jade as the name implies it's white. It is also "dense" in milky color like mutton's fat. It is next to impossible to find Jade this white and this dense. The master jade carver would have to improvise as he was carving. It is like winning the lottery to find such white material inside. This kind of carving can only be done by a master. It is out of this world. The lines, the proportions and the depth of field of this jade mythical beast is amazing. This Mutton Fat Jade material would have only come from the famous river of Hetian in China. The master carver skillfully left the jade skin on top with a nice contrast of white mutton fat jade on the bottom. He left no doubt that this mutton fat jade is river material. It also has superb "hand feel". It is a great piece for investors and connoisseurs looking to collect world class Jade. This will be the center piece of any Jade collection. The necklace is approximately 25 inches long. The pendant is about 5.5x3.25x2.25cm. Please refer to the many high definition photos for more details.
