An Holbein style amethyst, diamond, enamel, natural pearl and gold pendant, circa 1865 It is oval, carrying in its center an amethyst in a set, each punctuated by a rose-cut diamond. The entourage is enamelled in polychrome cloisonné, also enhanced with rose-cut diamonds. The border is of small fine pearls and a square pendant in tassel.
