This is a rare and wonderful antique Daguerreotype Locket Pendant Necklace with a daguerreotype image of a handsome man in 10 Karat Gold. The locket has a wonderful large size and is adorned with exquisite engine turned gold designs on both sides. The locket has a large and lovely bail. The locket opens to reveal a Daguerreotype image of a very handsome man. You may add your favorite image to the locket! Daguerreotypes were used during the period of 1840-1860. The locket is solid 10 Karat Gold. The elegant period locket dances delightfully around the neck and creates a conversation piece to be passed on for generations. The locket dates to circa 1840 - 1860.
The locket pendant is 2 3/8 inches long including the bail.
