Vintage 14K Gold Mary Mother of God Pendant
About the Item
Found on a recent trip to Prague, this 14k gold pendant dates to the 1930’s or 1940’s. It features a portrait of St. Mary holding a cross and flowers, with a halo radiating above her head. The details of the image are still crisp, though Mary’s face has been a bit smoothed and worn with age, and looks as if someone often rubbed that part of the pendant while praying. The charm looks beautiful alone on a chain, or makes a great addition to a charm stack.
The pendant measures 3/8” x 5/8” plus an additional 3.5 x 5.8 mm bail. It weighs 1.5 grams. Marked on the bail with 585 (for 14k gold) and with the Czech gold mark.
