Vintage Chinese Silver Gilt Enamel Egg Pendant
About the Item
This exquisite vintage Chinese gilded silver egg pendant, adorned with stunning enamel and granulated accents, features the revered two birds peacocks. The bottom of the egg is decorated with a tiny garnet (rhodolite) cabochon. In China, the peacock was a symbol of the Ming Dynasty, representing divinity, beauty, power, rank, and beauty. Peacock also symbolizes culture and civilization in Chinese paintings.

Height (excluding suspension ring): 23 mm.
Width: 13.2 mm.
The pendant bears a mark on its hanging ring, denoting its sterling silver content of 925.
