Yellow Ceylon Sapphire and diamond pendant, circa 1910.
About the Item
Yellow Ceylon Sapphire and diamond pendant. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural enhanced Ceylon Sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 9.20 carats, adorned by sixteen round eight cut diamonds in open back grain and part-rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.35 carats and further decorated to the bale with one round eight cut diamond in an open back grain setting with a weight of 0.02 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.37 carats, to an elegant pendant featuring millegrain details, a pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, fitted to top with a removable bale, accompanied by fine platinum trade chain, pendant approximately 3.5cm in length, chain approximately 16" in length. Tested yellow gold with platinum settings, circa 1910, accompanied The Gem & Pearl Laboratory report #25339 and with by fitted antique box.
