About the Item
This Fig necklace pendant with a detachable cabochon garnet is made of yellow gold-plated sterling silver. The limited edition collection of jewellery by artist, with its unusual design and open gem for light, was featured in Vogue UA.
The idea to create a fig as a jewellery collection came to Berlin-based oil painter Polya Medvedeva while reviewing fragrances with warm, sweet, and fresh notes of fig. The collection has become a mascot for everyone who adores fig fruit or its scent. This contemporary jewellery piece looks classy and elegant and can be worn both during the day or a night out.
Fig is an equivalent of the Bible's forbidden apples, and the fig leaves were the only clothes for the first humans in the Garden of Eden. It is also one of the sacred trees in ancient myths.

Polya's pieces are featured in Vogue UA, Harper’s Bazaar UA, Another magazine UK, and other publications. One of Polya's notable admirers is the German actress Anne Ratte-Polle, who selected her jewelry to wear on the red carpet of the Berlinale Film Festival.
