About the Item

Beautiful antique Diamond Ring hand - made ca. late XIX - early XX century. Not hallmarked. The crown is composite / with clusters in Silver on top of a solid 18K greenish Yellow Gold band (tested). In fine used condition. The openwork crown is a bit convex-shaped with sloppy sides for the best fit and measures 15 mm x 15 mm x 4 mm deep. Two natural Diamonds of old European diamond cut Ø 4 mm x 2.75 mm deep / 0.28 ct each + 4 rose cut diamonds Ø 2.25 mm / ca. 0.06 ct each + four rose cuts Ø 1.5 mm / 0.02ct each. Total weight of stones ca. 0.8 ctw. Color ca G, H / VS. All stones with open backs. Size: Ø 6 US/ 16.56 mm. Can be sized. Stones of the rings photographed alone may look a bit differently when on hand because your finger makes the back side of the stone closed and light no longer can go through and the color becomes different. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described. Some buyers tried to make return of the items and to avoid paying shipping and restock expenses claimed that : " color is different from that on image .. " there are inclusions that I didn't notice " "it looks smaller than I expected" ! Unfortunately Internet sales do not allow us to see the items in person before we get them by post. We will not be responsible if in the process of resizing or customization any stone on the ring becomes loose, if any deformation occurs in general or if band of the ring changes shape or becomes deformed. It is often difficult or impossible to get an accurate characteristics of the weight , color and nature of inclusions without removing the stones from the settings to be weighed and examined and doing that may damage the piece.
