36 Carat Morganite Cabochon Cocktail Ring
About the Item
I worked this 36.38 carats morganite cabochon in a very clean way that reduce the focus to the gem with its beautiful inclusions. If you look at the sides of the setting, you can see that the surface of the 18K rosegold setting is in line with the gem. There is no frame outside the shape of the morganite. To reach this goal, I cut a deep notch around the bottom line of the gem and worked the setting as an inlay underneath the surface of the gem. Oftentimes, it needs quite some effort to reach the simplest apperance but I love that pure and reduced geometry. When you wear this ring, it is just about the gem, nothing distracting, pure and simple. Nevertheless, as the weight of this ring is 14 Grams 18K plus the weight of the morganite, you can feel the value of this ring in your hands. Everything is worked smooth and rounded so that it can be worn very causal. If you like your jewelry clean and simple with no distructing elements and if you like to feel the weight of the piece in your hands, this might be a ring for you.
