About the Item
An antique diamond, pearl, platinum, and yellow gold ring, comprising two large old mine cut diamonds, twenty-two rose cut diamonds, and two pearls, set in platinum and 14 karat yellow gold, to a 14 karat / 10 karat yellow gold band.
My favourite thing about this Antique Platinum & Gold Diamond and Pearl Ring is the elegant design. What’s yours? Perhaps the sparkling diamonds? Or the shimmering seed pearls?
This Belle Epoque ring centres upon a pair of large, old mine cut diamonds. The diamonds are held within platinum claw settings, and a bright, white, sparkly, and well-matched with one another, with good clarity and colour. The diamonds are set diagonally, with diamond set tendrils swooping past, and terminating in shimmering pearls. The smaller, rose cut diamonds are held in platinum settings, which extend up and down the finger, creating the most elegant shape. The pearl terminals are complete with tiny rose cut diamonds studding each pearl. The pearls are pale, lustrous, and shimmering, held in flower-shaped cups. A statement, yet elegant toi et moi (you and me) ring. The ring is in good condition, one pearl has some visible nacre loss. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The head of the ring measures 24.5mm high, by 15.5mm wide. The ring rises 6.5mm off the finger, the band measures 2mm wide at the back.
