Antique Victorian 18K Gold and Silver 0.8ctw Ruby and Diamond Marquise Ring
About the Item
A Victorian yellow gold, silver, diamond, and ruby ring, comprising sixteen round cut rubies, five old mine cut diamonds, and twenty-eight rose cut diamonds, set in silver, to an 18 karat yellow gold band.
This stunning Victorian ring is set to the centre with 5 old mine cut diamonds, arranged in an elegant marquise shaped setting. The old mine cut diamond graduate from the centre out, and are set in shining silver, accentuating their beautiful sparkle. The central diamond panel is surrounded by a halo of round cut rubies, the rubies are a deep, glowing red colour and are well-matched with one another. The rubies are further surrounded by glittering rose cut diamonds, in pinched silver settings. Split shoulders, lead to a band of plain, polished, yellow gold. The ring is in good condition, with one ruby slightly sunken into its setting. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The head of the ring measures 25mm long, 13mm wide, and rises 5.2mm off the hand. The band measures 2mm wide.
