Art Deco Egyptian Revival Amethyst and Diamond Scarab RIng
About the Item
Egyptian revival jewelry became wildly popular during the Art Deco period after King Tut’s tomb was discovered in 1922. This insanely cool diamond eyed scarab is crafted from a juicy amethyst, outlined in shimmering single and rose-cut diamonds. Currently a ring size 5.75
Metal: platinum topped 14k yellow gold
Symbolism: The scarab is sacred symbol of regeneration and rebirth, which is why scarab jewelry is believed to bring the wearer immortality, luck and protection.
Measurements: 17.67 x 14.52 mm, sits 9 mm off of the finger
Scarab: 10 x 13 mm
Weight: 5.1 grams
Notes: a few tiny abrasions to the amethyst can be seen under magnification - located along the platinum band that runs down the wings.
