Sculptural ring designed by Dinh Van for Cartier. A stunning very rare ring, created back in the late 1960's by the artist Jean Dinh Van for the house of Cartier. This sculptural piece has been crafted in solid yellow and white gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. This ring is part of the Cartier collection called Astrales. History This ring it belongs to the period of 1969 and 1970. In 1969, Michael Thomas became president of the New York City branch and was instrumental in hiring young designers who modernized the company’s lines such Cesar, Aldo Cipullo, Jean Dinh Van, Roger Lucas, Jean Mahie, and Lisa Sotilis. On October 03,1969, Cartier launched a collection of about 200 jewelry pieces entitled, Astrological, Underwater and Geometric, all designed by these young designers.
