Diamond Cocktail Ring in 18K white gold - Circa 1970

A fine and impressive vintage 0.97 carat diamond and 18 karat white gold cocktail ring; part of our diverse antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This fine and impressive vintage 1940s diamond dress ring has been crafted in 18k white gold. The pierced decorated scrolling frame is ornamented with an impressive eight-claw set feature 0.37ct transitional modern brilliant round cut diamond. This offset feature stone is encompassed with a spiraling formation of twelve further transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds. The main setting blends with the swept asymmetrical ring shoulders and blend seamlessly with the plain hallmarked ring shank. The ring is hallmarked to the exterior of the shank with the French import gold mark (owl); this mark is used for finished articles brought into France to be examined by the French assay office.
