About the Item
This is a gorgeous antique Butterfly Ring set with spectacular Sapphire, Ruby and Diamond gems in a gorgeous Butterfly design in 14 Karat White Gold. The fabulous ring is one of the most beautiful Butterfly Insect jewels we have seen. The gems that make up the body, wings and antennae of the Butterfly are absolutely exquisite jewels. The body and antennae are set with 11 sparkling white round brilliant cut Diamonds. These diamonds are brilliantly white and approximately G-H-I color.
The Butterfly wings are set with 20 round faceted natural mined Sapphire and natural Ruby gems. The colors of the fine blue Sapphires and the fire engine red Rubies are just magnificent. The butterfly is a masterwork of jewelry making and diamond and gem setting. The extraordinary jewels are all set "a jour" - open backed - so that the light is allowed to filter through the gems and make them sparkle with the wonderful quality we love in the antique jewels. This whimsical butterfly dances delightfully on the hand and creates a conversation piece to be passed on for generations. And insect inspired jewels are all the rage today. And here we have the little butterfly with the exquisite gems and delicate design - how rare! These antique butterfly gems are among the most highly desired and collected today.
