Stylish estate Paraiba Tourmaline & Diamond ring crafted in 950 platinum.
One pear mixed cut Natural Tourmaline, approx. 0.50ct (7.5 x 4.5mm), vivid greenish-blue color, moderately included, very good cut. The color is called "Paraiba" in the trade. The tourmaline is in very good condition and free of cracks or chips.
Eighty-five full cut round diamonds, total weight approx. 0.55ct, G-H/VS qualities.
The ring will ship with a certificate from Guild Laboratories. The report provides an 'Estimate of Retail Selling Price New For Comparison Purposes' - $4,200.
The beautiful Paraiba tourmaline mirrors the turquoise lagoon waters of Tahiti, surrounded with a double row of diamonds set in a halo design. The breathtaking color of the stone is due to the presence of copper and manganese, creating a fluorescence that gives the gemstone unparalleled luminosity. The increasingly scarce gemstones have increased in value greatly, with high demand among collectors and connoisseurs. The ring is lovely worn as a right hand ring for everyday wear or as a gemstone engagement ring. The low-rise ring (7.5mm - 0.29 inches) sits comfortably on the finger.
