Retro Amethyst Cocktail Ring
About the Item
Flashy and splashy, this 14K yellow gold hand-fabricated ring features a large (Approximately 7.5 carats) natural, fire-filled amethyst. The stone is beautifully cut and bezel-set. The ring measures 22.43mm north to south and 18.43 west to east. Yet it rises just shy of 9mm from the surface of the finger, so it's not unwieldy.
The stone is a fine specimen indeed, with flashes of pink and red. But the goldsmith detailing must not go complimented. The gold that frames the stone has been expertly, delicately and intricately etched, and there's a milgrain effect that runs a lap around the bezel. The shank is simple; the perfect design compliment to the embellishment up front.
Currently a size 4.5, this ring could be resized by your local jeweler.
