Silver and Blue Oval Glass Marcasite Ladybird Flower Statement Ring circa 1970s
About the Item
Fabulous silver ring featuring an oval faceted blue glass stone, circa 1970s. The setting has an intricate design with marcasite set flowers, and ladybirds decorated with faux pearls and clear rhinestones. Ring size UK M 1/2, US 6 1/4 (inside diameter 1.8cm / .71 inch). The large blue jewel is length 2.2cm / .86 inch by 1.7cm / .67 inch, and the setting depth is 1.2cm / .47 inch. The inside band is stamped 925, and the ring tests as silver. There is scratching as expected, and wear to the faux pearls. Some of the marcasites and rhinestones are replacements.
This is a beautiful and unusual vintage silver statement ring, it is sure to attract attention.
