A kinetic ring designed by Yael Sonia.
This sculptural art-piece is crafted in 18k solid yellow gold, with a high polished finish. The design is composed by an U-shaped element with four pins that hold a sphere carved from natural translucent quartz. The sphere slides kinetically over the channel according to the movement of the user.
Have a total weight of 15.6 grams and the actual size is 6.5, cannot be enlarged.
Is signed and engraved, with the artist's signature, "YAEL SONIA (20)00".
Yael Sonia, live between New York and São Paulo, Yael revels in these visually rich, multicultural environments. Each of her hand crafted pieces are made in Brazil, where she works closely with local stonecutters and goldsmiths to create new cutting and metalworking techniques. This close relationship means that each individual stone is perfectly cut to come alive in the final piece.
Deeply embedded in each of her jewels is a sense of play, of energy, and of clean-lined beauty. Her designs are complex architectural houses for the rich variety of Brazilian gemstones. Each of her pieces is simultaneously mechanically beautiful and beautifully mechanical; adding intrigue to everything she makes.

Bruno Guidi, was a Brazilian artist, sculptor and jeweler of Italian descent. He settled in Brazil after the Post War and was a collaborator of the architect Roberto Burle Marx. Bruno Guidi was the lead designer and chief goldsmith of the acclaimed Brazilian jeweler Haroldo Burle Marx for 35 years. He collaborated with the designs of the jeweler Haroldo Burle Marx and his atelier was responsible for the manufacture of all Burle Marx jewelry pieces offered Brazil and in the Washington DC gallery at the Watergate Hotel.
