About the Item
The heart of this 18 karat yellow gold Tobacco Flower ring is GRS certified vivid royal blue oval sapphire from Sri Lanka, a very precious gem, which only can be set in such delicate design.
The dimension of the royal blue sapphire: 10.80 x 8.43 x 7.25 mm, no heat, 5.23 carats. There is no need to describe how incredible such mystic colour gem look in the all lights, day-time and indoor, and the size of it only makes it more vivid and strong. It is a ring with a gem for a family inheritance through the ages.
It is surrounded by chosen for it: sapphires, Paraiba tourmaline, tanzanite and diamonds:
Pear cut 1.48 carats blue sapphire, dimension: 9.73 x 6.21 x 3.54 mm.
Oval cut 1.82 carats tanzanite, dimension: 7.90x6.20x5.25 mm.
3 oval light greenish blue silky rutile bearing sapphires, SI-VS, unheated, untreated, Madagascar, Africa, dimension: 4.8 x 4.2 x 3.8 to 6.0 x 4.2.
GIA certified copper bearing neon Paraiba tourmaline (Brazil origin).
2 GIA certified oval diamonds, 0.74 carats and 0.71 carats, F, VSI1.
The ring is designed by oil painter and jewellery designer Polya Medvedeva. It is a limited edition collection of a few pieces only.
An unusual form makes this ring an art object. Flowers often are an inspiration for the artist, for painting and for jewellery design. The tobacco flowers bloom through the night and symbolises a shamanic mystery of the all things hidden.
