1940s French Sapphire Diamonds Gadroon Tank Ring
About the Item
Ring in 18 karat yellow gold, eagle's head hallmark and platinum, dog's head hallmark.
Domed, this sublime tank ring is composed of three rings. The one in the center has an oval cushion sapphire set with 4 large claws, supported by 2 x 2 antique brilliant-cut diamonds. On both sides, two rings, in the form of a bangle, are paved with diamonds with falling gadroons on each side of the setting.
Total weight of the sapphire : approximately 1.81 carat.
Total weight of diamonds : approximately 0.50 carat.
Height: 17.4 mm, width: 21.3 mm, thickness: approximately 6.5 mm, width of the ring at the base: approximately 7.7 mm.
Total weight of the jewel: approximately 15.9 g.
