0.77 Carat Certified Diamond in Platinum "Layer Cake" Engagement Ring
About the Item
Sixteen tiny plates are artfully positioned at different angles and elevations to form the perfect platform for a very clean, bright white 0.77 carat diamond -- a wonderful, contemporary homage to Art Deco architectural flair by Eytan Brandes.
Each plate -- plus two small triangular pieces on the sides -- is pavé-set with either one or two diamonds and has been coin-edged by hand.
The round center diamond is given a clean cushion aspect with flat milgrained corner prongs. The stone comes with an EGL mini-certification of its weight (0.77 carats), color (F) and clarity (VS1).
The 22 surrounding diamonds are all round, high-quality melee with a total weight of 0.29 carats.
The band, which tapers ever-so-slightly from 2.5mm at the shoulders to 2mm at the back, is hand-engraved by Eytan with a traditional palmette motif that stops near the back to create a blank panel for easy resizing.
Measurements: The face of the ring is 9.5mm tall and 16.5mm wide.
Markings: Signed by Eytan and stamped "PT" for platinum.
Size: Currently 5.5; resizing is complimentary for full-price buyers and negotiable otherwise.
Weight: The total diamond weight is 1.06 carats. The ring itself weighs 6 grams.
In addition to the EGL mini-certification and resizing, we will provide an appraisal for insurance purposes.
