English Edwardian Ornate Diamond Platinum Ring
About the Item
Ornate diamond ring, circa 1915. A platinum ring with ornately pierced bezel set with one central round old cut diamond in a millegrain collet setting with an approximate weight of 1.75 carats, set to top and bottom with two round old cut diamonds in millegrain collet settings with an approximate total weight of 0.80 carats, all surrounded by a pierced bowed and scalloped frame set with thirty round eight cut diamonds in millegrain bead settings, flanked by raised split shoulders supported by cheniers and set with ten round eight cut diamonds in millegrain bead settings, all forty eight cut diamonds with an approximate total weight of 0.80 carats, above an intricate openwork foliate gallery, on a D-section shank, with an approximate combined diamond weight of 3.35 carats.
