Late Victorian Burmese Ruby and Diamond Ring, circa 1900s
About the Item
A late Victorian era ring featuring three oval-shaped Burmese rubies interspersed with vertically-set pairs of old cut diamonds. The ring has a total diamond weight of 0.20 carats, with the centre ruby weighing 0.60 carats and the remaining two rubies weighing 0.45 carats each.
The stones are presented in their original 18 carat yellow gold setting, which dates from the turn of the twentieth century and features a fluted gallery and broad shoulders tapering slightly through the shank.
