Set to centre with an oval garnet intaglio in a closed back setting, engraved with a kneeling athlete holding a discus, leading to trumpeting shoulders and flowing through to a solid shank. Tested yellow gold, an approximate weight of 7.35g, circa 1st to 2nd century AD.
