The Rangani Ethical Ring 1.3 carat Pink Sapphire and 18ct Fairmined Gold
About the Item
The Rangani ethical ring has a deep pink sapphire heart of 1.37 carats. The hand-hammered band has seven turquoise coloured diamonds on either side of the main stone. The ring is handmade with 18ct Fairmined gold.
Rangani has an enchanting, fairytale-like quality. She’s one-of-a-kind and looking for someone who believes in magic. This ring will find you.
The ethically-sourced sapphire originates from a small-scale mine in Sri Lanka, which leaves a far smaller footprint than other mining countries. . Mining is closely monitored, with large-scale mining banned. The mines are often co-owned by the workers with substantial restrictions on child labour.
Made with Fairmined gold from small-scale miners in Colombia. The miners receive a fair wage and an extra $4 per gram bonus to build schools and other vital projects within the community.
Fairmined is an initiative that provides a certification label for gold sourced responsibly, ensuring its traceability and extraction using environmentally-friendly mining practices, while also promoting the growth of artisanal and small-scale mining communities.
I made Rangani in my London studio, United Kingdom.
This jewellery carries a high vibration of love. While working with gold, I sing ancient healing mantras and weave blessings and prayers into the very bones of each piece. I like to think of my jewels as ‘Little Gold Prayers’.
She is a size L 1/2 but can be re-sized to fit.
