Handcrafted to perfection during the Art Deco era, circa 1920’s, this superb ring is in the noblest of metals - Platinum - and features a principal Diamond weighing 0.70ct with a superb colour ‘F’ and clarity SI1.
This large diamond is securely set in both bead and corner claw settings - a sign of quality - to an exquisite domed and pierced setting with a further twenty two (22) small diamonds weighing a total of 0.22ct.
Beautifully pierced throughout with millgraine edging typical of the era, to sloping engraved shoulders and the magnificent shank which features a running ‘Wheatsheaf’ pattern for its entire circumference. The Wheatsheaf motif symbolises abundance and fertility, historically popular in wedding and engagement jewellery.
