A fine antique Art Deco period tea strainer. By the Scandinavian silversmiths N.M. Thune (Oslo, Norway). In gilt sterling silver with red guilloche enamel decoration to the bowl and handle. Fully hallmarked to the reverse. Simply a wonderful tea accessory! Date: Early 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There are a few small spots of persistent tarnish here and there. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: N M Thune Marks: Marked to the reverse of the handle with N M Thune's maker's mark / 925 S. Measurements: Length: ca. 5 5/8 in. Width: ca. 2 5/8 in. Height: ca. 1 in.
