The bowl and blade are silver-gilt, in the fantasy 'Ferrure" ( ironwork) pattern, comprising a shallow shaped server and a curver knife or "serpe", engraved wih foliate motifs. The flat stems and handles are pierced.This set is presented in its original box. Hallmarks : Head of Minerve 1 st titre for 950/1000 French Sterling Silver Vermeil guarantee. Prestigious silvermith : Emile Puiforcat 16 rue Chapon - Paris. He was active from 1857.
