Antique Georgian William Abdy London Sterling Silver Pie Server #18209
About the Item
Antique sterling silver pie server by William Abdy of London, England, circa 1785.
No monogram or engraving.
From the Georgian Era, this beautiful pie (or fish) server features bright-cut etched designs, including a large rose, on an ornate cut-out blade and on the handle.
Measures approx 12" long, 3 1/4" wide across the widest part of the blade.
Weighs approx 136.8g, 88.0dwt
Marked on the blade WA (William Abdy hallmark), k (date mark for 1785), lion (indicates sterling silver purity), leopard (London city mark). Also marked with a lion and a duty mark on one side of the handle and WA on the other side of the handle.
Very nice condition with minor surface scratching and light tarnish.
Item will be packaged securely and shipped US Priority Mail with insurance.
