About the Item

Sterling silver gravy ladle by John Wendt in the Arabesque pattern. Monogram appears to be M Designed in 1870 by Bernhard Beiderhase for the prominent NYC retailer Ball Black & Co, a leading jewelry house of the nation from 1851-1876. John Wendt produced much of the silver for Ball Black & Co from circa 1860. This ladle features simple scroll design. Measures approx 6 3/4" long, 2 5/8" wide bowl. Weighs 61g, 39.2dwt Marked BALL BLACK & CO 925 PATENT Very nice condition, with some light scratches and slight tarnish. Will be shipped US Priority Mail with insurance.
