About the Item

NAMED ONE OF WATCHPRO MAGAZINE’S “HOT 100” - THE TOP 100 INFLUENCERS OF THE U.S. WATCH INDUSTRY. HOW CAN WE SERVE YOU? We’re new to offering our carefully curated collection on 1stDibs, but we have sold over 10,000 fine watches and exceptionally served thousands of customers via other online sites with a 5.0 star rating. 1969 OMEGA DYNAMIC Vintage Mens First Generation Cal. 565 Watch with Quick-Setting Date - Stainless Steel Gorgeous Original Condition - Interesting & Distinctive - 1 Year Warranty Created in 1967 by Omega's sales director Robert Forster, the Dynamic is an iconic example of a true retro style. The clean and functional watch, a considerable success for Omega, possessed a number of designed elements that made it stand out: * An ellipse shape with recessed crown determined to be the best geometric shape for the wrist, determined after extensive study * Unicoc case with hermetically sealed crystal water-resistant to a depth of 30m. * Available with a stainless steel bracelet or easily interchangeable water-resistant Cor-fam straps According to an Omega advertisement at the time, "The shape of the Omega Dynamic was determined by the anatomy of your wrist; its dial by the workings of your eyes; its strap by the physiology of your skin." Today's offering showcases this first generation Dynamic in our gorgeous all-original condition. The first generation of the watch lasted only from 1968 until 1970. Its striking original dial bring a lot of interest to the watch - it is indigo dye blue, the markers are neither steel nor gold tone - they are halfway in between both, and the primary hour indices have cool tuxedo striping. As one of the early Dynamics, before Omega switched to using the 1000 series movements for the line, it is powered by Omega's high-grade caliber 565. Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement, one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs, was the top-tier offering of the 500 series. It has 24 jewels and a quick-setting date and is arguably the finest mass-produced automatic movement from era. It is all-original and presents in gorgeous condition. Its case presents as just short of perfect mint with a few tiny remnants of wear to the back and slight signs of previous polishing. Its dial is original and untouched in mint condition. Its fine automatic Omega movement has just been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is running very strong and true, keeping time essentially on par with a new Omega in our testing recording position. It comes equipped with an aftermarket leather strap designed to replicate look of the original making it ready for immediate enjoyment. Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance. You won't be disappointed with this one an almost fifty year old Dynamic that presents like new on the wrist! Note: An example of this watch resides in the Omega museum, and a published example can be found in Marco Richon's work Omega: A Journey Through Time, 2007, pg. 483. Your watch is important to us, and we will take care of it for its lifetime. We provide the best after sale care in the business with an extremely experienced team of four Master Watchmakers all of whom each have over thirty-five years of experience and a large number of parts. One used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealership and was given training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center. Omega Seamaster 300 165024-64
By Omega
Located in London, GB
A real treasure and wonderful find, This Omega Seamaster 300 has been worn daily by its last 2 family owners up until the last few s years at which point it was locked away in a drawer. We have purposely done very little work to this watch but what we have done we will point out. It has an original black dial with original hands. Bezel may be slightly later from a service. Well worn in places with the case as you would expect showing lovingly worn marks and scratches. It appears to have never been polished with the plexiglass appearing original too. The dial has aged and naturally discoloured to give a real genuine vintage feel and look to this Seamaster. It looks to be a really honest example of what it is which is an early 60's Seamaster 300! Our watchmaker has been through to the watch to ensure it is working as well as it can be mechanically and is now reading +/- 9 seconds per day. We have made one or two changes out of necessity, the strap fitted to this watch is a new authentic, black with grey lines, Omega Nato...
