About the Item
Art-Deco convertible jeweled Brooch-Wristwatch.
An unusual historical piece from the American art deco period, created between the 30's and 40's. Was designed in the shape of a cornucopia, with geometric steps patterns.
It is a very convenient and versatile convertible piece, since can be wear as a pin brooch or a wristwatch. The bracelet is double chained and is suited, with invisible bars to be dismounted. The brooch has in the reverse a pair of hinged horizontal pins with a trombone lock.
It was carefully crafted, with impeccable care to details in solid 18 karats yellow gold with parts accented in white gold for the diamond's settings.
The case is accented with 32 European round brilliant cut diamonds (0.64 carats, H/I color, VS-2 clarity and is embellished, with natural Burmese red rubies, non heated, individually described as follow:
16 gradated round cuts, 1.28 carats, 4 straight emerald steps cuts, 0.60 carats, 5 gradated oval cabochon cuts (7.3 x 7.92 x 4.46 mm) with asterism (star phenomena), with a combined weight of 7.35 carats.
The total weight is 56.64 grams and the bracelet fit a wrist up to 6.25 inches.
The brooch measures are 54 mm by 30 mm by 25 mm (2.13 x 1.18 x 1.02 inches).
Collateral: This piece is accompanied by the Gia laboratory report number 2211509009, stating the gemstones are natural star rubies, transparent and not heated from Myanmar (Burma).
Rare and unusual piece in great vintage shape, with the normal wear. As a note, the movement is mechanical and has been recently serviced and is in working condition.
Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this watch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All the gemstones, are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
