And, remarkably, it is sitting in its original box and it still has its original "card" signed by Lindberg. This series, by Bulova was done as a presentation to commemorate the famous flight of "The Spirit of St. Louis" flown by Charles Lindberg. This is one of the earliest examples from the first run or batch of the model. This is a "vault find" watch, it has been locked up for nearly 50 years, which means it needs a service. We will give it a factory quality service by our finest watchmaker as part of the purchase price before it is shipped out to you. This will delay shipping for a few days of course. If you are looking for a piece of history, this is the watch. The Bulova caliber, 10AM is very dependable and easy to service and you be able to wear it all the time if you care to and count on it to get you there on time, all the time. The workmanship in the case is exceptional and as can be seen the case articulates out and the movement has Lucite cover to show the movement. This one still has the original Lucite cover. In addition, the case is inlayed with kiln fired enamel, and as well so is the printing on the dial, kiln fired enamel. This was a fine high quality watch in its day and looks like it, even today.
