This great looking, classic designed watch was produced by Helbros Watch Company in the 1950s. It is in nearly new condition and our finest Master Watchmaker has just given it a Factory Quality Service and it keeps original dependable time. It is the perfect unisex size and be worn for all sorts of occasions and counted on to get you there on time, every time.
Helbros Watch Company was founded in 1913 by the Helbein Brothers, Swiss-German watchmakers who aimed to produce quality timepieces that were affordable to the general public. While some sources suggest Russian origins, it's widely accepted that the Helbein brothers established the brand in the United States, registering a trademark in New York in 1916 and in Geneva in 1918. Helbros gained significant popularity throughout the mid-20th century, particularly in the 1940s, 50s, and 60s, known for blending Swiss craftsmanship with American design aesthetics. The company was actively involved in US War Bond efforts during WWII and, after being acquired by Elgin Industries in the late 1960s, briefly operated as a division before regaining its independence in the early 1970s. However, the brand eventually went into abeyance, with the trademark later acquired by Jules Jurgensen.
