UTI was orginally started at the beginning of the 20th century by Hector Levy. The sold clocks and ladies watches. They were based in Paris but had a factory in La Chaux de Fonds. Shortly after the firm was started it was taken over by Georges Meyer who renamed it Utinam. He was a renowned jeweler and designer so all the UTI watches and clocks are very elegant and sophisticated.
This piece from the 1930's is a clear example of their work.
We seldom see items from this small house and this one is very unique and is entirely hand made. We have just given it a factory quality service by our finest watchmaker and it keeps dependable time.
