This watch, produced by the West End Watch Company was likely intended for use by the British Air Force. The logo on the back, the Broad Arrow designated it as a military watch, and for pilots. The watch looks nearly new. It is still fitted with its original and flawless Kiln Fired Enamel Dial and Original Blued Steel Hands. In addition, it still has its original factory dust cover as well. We have only seen a couple of these in the last 50 years, so we know it is rare. We have just given it a factory quality service by our finest watchmaker and it keeps dependable time as well. If it could only talk, what would it have to say?
The West End Watch Company, established in 1885, has a unique history bridging Switzerland and Asia. Founded in Switzerland, the company took the name "West End" to capitalize on Swiss precision engineering while targeting the British Raj in India. Their timepieces, known for durability and incorporating new technologies like shock resistance, became favorites throughout Asia and the Middle East for over a century.
