By Alabama Sawyer
Located in Birmingham, AL
We handcrafted this classic bedside table with hardwoods from Birmingham's urban forest. For your bedroom, it can hold books, reading glasses, a lamp or glass of water. Louisville Pottery Company Daniel Boone Rare Mauve Mid Century Modern Kentucky
By Louisville Pottery Company
Located in Mobile, AL
The Louisville Pottery company used a variety of stamps and sold to touristy shops with marks including Cherokee, Great Smokey Mountains, Daniel Boone, Mammoth Cave, Kentucky Hand Made and more. Most of them are small pitchers and vases in traditional forms. But, then there are occasional exceptions and over time we have all learned that major designers including Frederic Hurten Rhead (over at Selden Bybee) were working in the area. Research is ongoing to identify the examples designed and/or influenced by well known artists or simply a great relatively unknown designer or two deserving of recognition for their work. The JB Speed Art Museum cataloged a slightly smaller gloss green example Accession number 2007.10.9 with the Cherokee Pottery...

Live Edge Round Side Table, Modern Organic Blue Sputnik Table
By Alabama Sawyer
Located in Birmingham, AL
This live edge round side Table is an occasional table, a coffee table, or a side table. We call it the Sputnik table. It is certainly irregular and that’s why you’ll love it. The three metal legs attached to live edge piece timber evoke the futuristic styles of the 1950s, perfect for adding a pop of vintage / retro style along with modern, organic warmth. Place this whimsical wooden table in your living room and enjoy it as an organic modern coffee table or use multiples for end tables. They make great bedside tables or a unique element in a bathroom.
The naturally occurring knots and fine cracks that you may see will not cause structural deficiencies as they are an organic aspect of the hardwood. We view these elements not as flaws, but as reminders of the tree from which each piece is born.
Ships in a box with feet...
