A beautiful, colorful rug by Clemens Briels. Limited edition made in the Netherlands, circa 2000. The rug has an asymmetric shape and the artwork on it is a wonderful play of colours and shapes! This is very recognizable for the art by Briels. The blue coloured frame that is woven into the design makes the artwork especially expressive. This bright piece would truly stand out in any interior, adding bright and colourful joy to the decor, just as the artist intended! It has the artist's signature and is labelled underneath with a leather patch. This rug remains in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. Clemens Briels (1946) is a sculptor, painter, creator of glass sculptures and furniture designer. His signature is the cheerful and optimistic outlook on life.
