Guidance
By Ben Young
Located in New York, NY
Ben Young’s sculpture fluidly blends glass, concrete, bronze, steel, and light to depict romantic and pensive imagery highlighting the fragility of our climate and its most precious resource – water. Born in Australia and raised in New Zealand, Young is an avid surfer and environmentalist, inspired by a lifetime on and around oceans, bays, and reefs, with an intimate understanding of the challenges our precious ecosystems face. Young’s thought-provoking sculpture shows great range, portraying the beauty and solitude of life on the ocean, haunting depths of the deep sea, and stunning and relaxing upside of island life. Water is many things to many people, which Young encapsulates brilliantly in his work, encompassing themes of sustainability throughout. Using concrete to create mountains, crevasses, sand bars, and cliffs, Young’s innovative use of materials is transportative. With hand-carved glass as his guiding medium, Young amplifies light and its relationship with water – our most sacred element – to create a glowing unity that people from around the world connect with on a personal level, whether they are beachside or in the Desert. Ben Young’s exhibition Delicate Space at Chesterfield Gallery...

Ellen Hackl Fagan_Technicolor Bubble Wrap II_2020_paint, ink, plaster
By Ellen Hackl Fagan
Located in Darien, CT
Seeking the Sound of Cobalt Blue is a series of paintings and sculptures that have been created since the spring of 2014. Using domestic construction materials from her garage, extras from home improvement projects or the garden, have been captured, much like a photogram, but with paint, not silver. By blending photography and painting, Fagan finds that the patterns created with industrial, mass-produced objects around the house and garage, speak to her interest in producing paintings that link to sound. These works are portraits of the artist’s home, its history, and the materials used to build that maintain her home. Ellen Hackl Fagan builds connections between color and sound using installations, interactive games, and collaborative projects that combine color-and-texture saturated paintings with music...

Queensboro Bridge and Ford (Limited edition archival print.)
By Danny Heller
Located in Fairfield, CT
Limited edition archival print on (image size 24x18") 28.5x22" paper. Represented by George Billis Gallery, NYC & LA -- Focusing on this duality of the old and the new, my work captures a changing New York – the old neon signage of the neighborhood pharmacy, as well as the sleek interiors of Mies van der Rohe’s groundbreaking Seagram Building. You’ll find classic storefront windows displaying 1950’s fashion, juxtaposed with office windows of a Madison Ave skyscraper. Viewed as a whole, my series aims to take viewers to this transformative period of time – and might even remind them that many of these scenes can still be found in Manhattan today." Colors: Light Blue, Light Grey, car, vintage automobile, automobile art...
