Palm Beach Idyll, Estate Edition, Christmas Beach
By Slim Aarons
Located in Los Angeles, CA
This classic Slim Aarons photograph depicts a couple basking under the sun at the renowned Palm Beach, Florida, circa 1955. The woman in the forefront sports a vintage orange swimsuit and a chic straw sunhat adorned with a vibrant red ribbon. Dominating the scene is a tropical holiday tree and candy cane themed umbrella, situated between two palm trees, further accentuated by a tray filled with neatly wrapped holiday gifts. The creative interplay between the inverted triangle of the chair and the conventional triangle of the umbrella culminates in a balanced yet dynamic composition. With the midcentury tropical beach setting and warm orange color palette, this festive Slim Aarons photograph transcends seasons, making it a timeless piece to appreciate year-round. Fred captured Jack Kerouac frolicking with women at a New Year’s bash in 1958, Andy Warhol adjusting a movie-camera lens in his silver-covered factory, and Bob Dylan offering a salute of recognition outside Sheridan Square near the Voice’s old office. Not just a social chronicler, McDarrah was a great photo-journalist. Sit-Up
By Luke Smalley
Located in New York, NY
Digital C-print Stamped and numbered, verso 20 x 24 inches (Edition of 10) 30 x 40 inches (Edition of 5) 50 x 60 inches (Edition of 3) This photograph is offered by ClampArt, located in New York City. Please note that prices increase as editions sell. Luke Smalley was an American artist known for his photographic work, which pairs a coolly minimalist aesthetic with a retro nostalgia. Images from his early in his career were inspired by fitness manuals and yearbooks c. 1910. This is not surprising since Smalley graduated with a degree in sports medicine from Pepperdine University and worked for a number of years as a model and personal trainer. Smalley shot the bulk of his photographs in his home state of Pennsylvania, using real high school athletes as models. “Exercise at Home” is Luke Smalley’s second major body of work. Shot in and around the tiny Pennsylvania town the artist called home, Smalley revisits themes of adolescent growing pains acted out under the guise of earnest athleticism. Teenagers engage in simple yet strange competitions meant to establish their standings amongst one another. Two youths practice boating safety...

'Dali's Party' Estate Edition, ft Surrealist Salvador Dali in New York
By Slim Aarons
Located in Los Angeles, CA
1959: Surrealist painter Salvador Dali (1904 - 1989) with a red-haired woman in a green dress at a vintage ball in New York. The artist is captured with his characteristic walking stick and wearing a mustache, and the woman smiles with mischief, wearing extraordinary mid-century dress and jewels. In Dali's work and life, the magical, mysterious, artistic and alchemical mix. The vintage and classic mingles with the bizarre and strange in this historic photograph of an avant-garde legend. Dali's Party, 1959 (Salvador Dali in New York) Slim Aarons Estate Edition Photograph Lambda Print Estate Embossed with 2 Certificates of Authenticity Printed Later 4 sizes available Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech, 1st Marquess of Dalí de Púbol gcYC (/ˈdɑːli, dɑːˈliː/;[1] Catalan: [səlβəˈðo ðəˈli]; Spanish: [salβaˈðoɾ ðaˈli];[2] 11 May 1904 – 23 January 1989) was a Spanish surrealist artist renowned for his technical skill, precise draftsmanship, and the striking and bizarre images in his work. Born in Figueres, Catalonia, Dalí received his formal education in fine arts in Madrid. Influenced by Impressionism and the Renaissance masters from a young age, he became increasingly attracted to Cubism and avant-garde movements. He moved closer to Surrealism in the late 1920s and joined the Surrealist group in 1929, soon becoming one of its leading exponents. His best-known work, The Persistence of Memory, was completed in August 1931, and is one of the most famous Surrealist paintings. Dalí lived in France throughout the Spanish Civil War (1936 to 1939) before leaving for the United States in 1940 where he achieved commercial success. He returned to Spain in 1948 where he announced his return to the Catholic faith and developed his "nuclear mysticism" style, based on his interest in classicism, mysticism, and recent scientific developments. Dalí's artistic repertoire included painting, graphic arts, film, sculpture, design and photography, at times in collaboration with other artists. He also wrote fiction, poetry, autobiography, essays and criticism. Major themes in his work include dreams, the subconscious, sexuality, religion, science and his closest personal relationships. To the dismay of those who held his work in high regard, and to the irritation of his critics, his eccentric and ostentatious public behavior often drew more attention than his artwork. His public support for the Francoist regime, his commercial activities and the quality and authenticity of some of his late works have also been controversial. His life and work were an important influence on other Surrealists, pop art and contemporary artists such as Jeff Koons and Damien Hirst. There are two major museums devoted to Salvador Dalí's work: the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres, Spain, and the Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida. Over the course of a career lasting half a century, Slim Aarons (1916-2006) portrayed high society, aristocracy, authors, artists, business icons, the celebrated and their milieu. In doing so, he captured a golden age of wealth, privilege, beauty and leisure that occurred alongside—but quite separate from—the cultural and political backdrop of the second half of the Twentieth Century. The Slim Aarons Estate has released the limited Estate edition as a Lambda print, which is a modern c-type prints. They have chosen Lambda prints for their sharpness, clarity, colour saturation and quality, compared to archival inkjet prints. Lambda printing gives true continuous tone. Photograph is unframed Slide show includes a close-up of the Slim Aarons estate's stamp. Collector will get the next number in the edition * We are pleased to offer the entire archive of the Slim Aarons Estate, offering the official Slim Aarons Estate Edition (only offered in this edition of 150). "Lovers" - Limited Edition Fine Art Print
By Plastic Jesus
Located in West Hollywood, CA
This entire series was inspired by a piece of graffiti by the street artist Banksy in the UK. Nick Stern - who ironically has been called the Banksy of Los Angeles and goes by the street name "Plastic Jesus" -decided to set himself the challenge to recreate the original Banksy graffiti with as much accuracy as possible, including the texture of the walls where the stencils were on and the windows on the buildings here in Los Angeles. Most were recreated “in situation”, without any photo shop. Only two works “The Maid” and “The Lovers” required minimal photoshop. Nick is English as is Banksy but based in Los Angeles so finding brick walls or a sash window was fun to find for the shoots. All photographs are printed to order and signed, with a certificate of authenticity signed by Wallspace. They are printed on 20”x16”paper with a border included - be aware that images may not all be exactly the same size as the imagery has different layouts. The paper size will be framed to the same size. The paper is a heavy weight fine art paper Entrada. fine art print...
