"CONGREGATION OF WITS, Box Set of 1000 Prints", 2018, limited-edition collection of 1000 double-sided silkscreen prints – color image on one side, black text on other side – by Andrew Cornell Robinson. There are 3 box sets in custom-made red linen archival boxes with a gold stamped title. The prints are of various sizes, the box is 17.5x17.5".
Note the double-sided printing – surfaces of text, surfaces of image. There are myriad possibilities for color, pattern, language, culture, politics, identity. It's a dynamic body of work that delights in the craft of making and the experience of revealing a tapestry of image and language.

Regal Flower Arrangement original lithograph by Alessandro Nastasio
By Alessandro Nastasio
Located in Paonia, CO
Regal Flower Arrangement is an original limited edition( 25/50 ) lithograph by Alessandro Nastasio. A large vase of purple flowers and lots of greenery in set on a purple table and is exploding with color and energy.
Alessandro Nastasio was born in Milan in 1934. In 1952 he followed the “free school of the nude” led by Aldo Salvatori. In 1960 he attended the Atelier of Giorgio Upilio where Giacometti, Lam, Fontana, De Chirico worked and where he had the opportunity to study the themes of the inspiring myths. He worked at the MAF foundry with the master Tullio Figini who shared the secrets of the lost wax Renaissance fusion and where he met the masters Crocetti, Manfrini, Manzu , Minguzzi, Fabbri,. He then moved on to Quinto de Stampi at the De Andreis foundry where Marino Marini, Pomodoro, Rudy Wach, Strebelle, Negri and Rosental operated. A regular reader of the great sapienzal texts of antiquity, he trained in particular on the Bible which he illustrated with woodcuts, aquatints, etchings and linocuts, especially the Song of Songs, the book of Ecclesiastes and several pages of the Gospels He also drew his inspiration from the philosophical-religious tradition of the Eastern world through the reading of Rig-Veda, Upanisad and the Matnavi of Rumi. In 1966-67 he obtained the chair at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera and for thirty years he devoted himself to the teaching of Art Education in various schools.
Nastasio created works both pictorial and plastic in collaboration with famous architects such as: Figini and Pollini, De Carli, Gardella, Faranda, Selleri, Ponti. His great talent soon came to the attention of various art dealers: first Max G...

A lithograph from the Marina Picasso Estate Collection after the Pablo Picasso painting "Violon". The original painting was completed in 1912. In the 1970's after Picasso's death, Marina Picasso, his granddaughter, authorized the creation of this lithograph by Laurent Marcel Salinas, who worked closely with Picasso during his lifetime. The limited edition print run was completed and published by Marina Picasso in conjunction with Jackie Fine Arts in 1982. The lithograph is printed on French Arches paper, ink-stamped by the Estate verso, and hand-signed and numbered AP 4 by Marina Picasso on the recto. Lotus
By Maki Hino
Located in New Orleans, LA
Hino creates a still life of a lotus from an edition of 65. A prominent figure in Buddhist and Egyptian culture, and native flower for both India and Vietnam, the lotus holds enormous symbolic weight. It spans various thousand-year-old Eastern cultures and yet, is still considered one of the most sacred flowers today. So what is it about this mysterious blossom that people find so enrapturing? Its colorful bloom is an obvious suspect, but the lotus also has a life cycle unlike any other. With its roots based in mud, it submerges every night into murky river water, and—undeterred by its dirty environment—it miraculously re-blooms the next morning without residue on its petals.
Although cultures have their own interpretations of this daily process, there is a general consensus among ancient texts...

"La Peine Perdue (The Wasted Effort)" Lithograph after Painting by Rene Magritte
By René Magritte
Located in Milwaukee, WI
"La Peine Perdue (The Wasted Effort)" is a color lithograph after original 1962 painting by Rene Magritte. Two blue curtains are parted on either side. Two curtain shaped mirrors show a sky and clouds. A ball sits right to the left of the mirrors.
Art: 12 x 9.75 in
Frame: 22.75 x 20.38 in
René-François-Ghislain Magritte was born November 21, 1898, in Lessines, Belgium and died on August 15, 1967 in Brussels. He is one of the most important surrealist artists. Through his art, Magritte creates humor and mystery with juxtapositions and shocking irregularities. Some of his hallmark motifs include the bourgeois “little man,” bowler hats, apples, hidden faces, and contradictory texts.
René Magritte’s father was a tailor and his mother was a miller. Tragedy struck Magritte’s life when his mother committed suicide when he was only fourteen. Magritte and his two brothers were thereafter raised by their grandmother.

Snow Does (Doe, a deer - a female deer)
By Carol Wax
Located in New Orleans, LA
An exclusive publication for Stone and Press Gallery, "Snow Does" was created in an edition of 100. It is FIROS #66 in the catalogue raisonne.
Carol Wax originally trained to be a classical musician at the Manhattan School of Music but fell in love with printmaking. With the publication of her book, The Mezzotint: History and Technique, published by Abrams, 1990 and 1996, Carol added author and teacher to her credits. In the ensuing years she has expanded her repertoire of mediums beyond printmaking into other works on paper and painting.
In compositions reflecting an appreciation for antiquated machinery and vintage textiles, Wax creates imagery that, in her own words, “… speaks to an inner life perceived in inanimate objects.” She uses stylization and imagination to reinvent subjects, transforming an ordinary typewriter into a monumental icon...
