Sunset Bergère Chair with Pouf in Avant Après Grey & Aluminum Feet, Nicola Pavan
Located in Brooklyn, NY
The new Sunset bergère is made up of two distinct parts: the shell and the headrest for a specific reason: lighten the silhouette of the product by creating a visually harmonious line. The outdoor stretched and rigorous surface contrasts with an internal padded coat that is much softer, creating an original graphic design. The comfort of the seating area is accentuated by the reclining mechanism, available only in the variation with the headrest, whereas the base is equipped with a rotation mechanism both for the armchair and the bèrgere version. Sunset combines in an ideal way sophisticated design, maximum comfort and high-quality materials and techniques. Available with various upholstery on the aluminum star base. Completely removable covers. Structure: Shell and headrest are in plywood with variable-density polyurethane foam (40IP e 30IM) covered with velfodera coupled with resin 100gr/sqm. Feet: In polished or painted aluminum. The base is equipped with rotation mechanism both for the "armchair" version and for the "bergère" version. Only for the latter, it’s possible to add the tilt mechanism. Padding: The seat cushion is in variable-density polyurethane foam (50IP e 35IMM) covered with velfodera coupled with resin 150gr/sqm. Arms and lumbar cushions are polyurethane foam core 35IMM covered with velfodera coupled with resin 150gr/sqm. Additional information: Material: Polyurethane foam, upholstery, aluminum Upholstery: Cat. VIP, Avant Après...

Authentic Pair French Armchair, Louis XVI Period, 1775-1790
Located in Paris, France
These authentic Louis XVI period armchairs, original and authentic, seduced me by their modernity. Very rare with their original cream lacquer, flat and square back "à la Reine", with their strict armrests and highly visible assembly, straight legs turned into quivers in the shape of a column tapered down and fluted. The foot ends in a dice that rests on the ground, while the top is cubic is decorated with a circular molding pattern quite rare contrary to the rosette pattern often used for copies - The queen chairs have perfect proportions in their elegant silhouette. In general, I am only interested in design and contemporary pieces, but in the course of my peregrinations I sometimes come across pieces that do not leave me indifferent. As for the lyres chairs, the baccarat chandelier and the large golden mirror...

French Armchair Bergere Louis-Philippe Period, Louis XV Style circa 1800, France
Located in Beuzevillette, FR
Very nice bergere armchair from the Louis-Philippe period, in the Louis XV style. Large comfortable but elegant armchair. The seat and back are well padded (as well as the armrests) to give it a very comfortable and soft seat. The legs are curved, the wood is solid and upholstery nails run through the bottom of the seat and the left and right sides of the armrests. This armchair is upholstered with a fine cream-coloured tapestry with vegetal and floral motifs, bunches of grapes, knots and foliage. The tapestry presents a fine and delicate decoration in light tones. Note: the upholstery has some marks of time (wear or tears) (especially on the edges of the armrests) France - circa 1800 The Louis XIV style is a furnishing style covering more or less the period of the reign of Louis XIV (1661 to 1715). This style is characterized by the majesty and richness of its furnishings. The Louis XIV style follows the Louis XIII style. The furniture is increasingly luxurious, but unlike previous styles, it is almost no longer inspired by architecture. There are two kinds of furniture: ceremonial furniture richly decorated with veneers and inlays (especially with André-Charles Boulle), solid gilt wood and bourgeois furniture in solid wood. The style is characterized above all by its absolute symmetry and an important and ostentatious dimension. The Louis XIV style is of Italian and ancient inspiration. The style emerged with the advent of the reign of Louis XIV in 1661 and lasted until the end of the 17th century. In 1690, on the death of Lebrun, decorator to the King, the style declined and was gradually replaced by the Regency style. The Palace of Versailles is obviously extremely and lastingly marked by the Louis XIV style. His long reign made it possible to impose the unique style of the Grand...
