Each vase is hand signed and numbered by the artists (engraved), 100% handmade in Italy and comes with a “Certificate of Authenticity”. Marble is a natural material, every piece is unique as each marble block is different in veins and color shades. All of our creations are handmade by Italian artisans and can slightly vary in shape and size. This is to be considered as a guarantee of a handmade object. All Pieruga objects are made of precious and natural marbles and onyx. Marble is sensitive to acid-based liquids, especially a prolonged contact with substances such as wine, lemon, vinegar, fruit juices, cola and alcohol can stain the surface. Cleaning should be carried out with a soft sponge, water and neutral detergent. Do not use metallic or abrasive sponges, do not wash in the dishwasher, do not use in the microwave. The color of the marble after washing can undergo variations due to the humidity trapped in the surface’s micro-pores. Once fully dried it will regain its original color. The brass inlays tend to oxidize over time, to make them return to shine again use a soft cotton pad soaked in a solution of water and traditional Marseille soap, gently rub over the brass inserts and rinse the surface thoroughly. These stunning vases display clear Art Deco influences, evident in the geometric lines and squared, decorative handles adorned with elegant gilding. The tapered, symmetrical shape is typical of the 1920s and 1930s when Art Deco was at its peak. The predominant color is a deep cobalt blue, characteristic of high-quality ceramic production from that era, associated with a refined decorative style. The gilded handles create a striking and luxurious visual contrast with the rest of the design. The geometric gilded handles, distinctive in their elegance, reflect neoclassical influences reinterpreted through the lens of Art Deco.
