Sally K. is an Ohio-born artist of Lebanese heritage who spent her formative years in Saudi Arabia before attending high school and college in Beirut. She graduated with distinction from the Lebanese American University of Beirut, earning a BA in Fine Arts. After moving back to the United States in 2013, Sally K. and her family eventually relocated once more to Qatar in 2019. Sally's multicultural background and diverse experiences inform her artistic vision, resulting in a unique style that blends Middle Eastern and Western influences.
Sally K's work is a celebration of femininity, strength, and individuality, reflecting her own journey as a woman and artist. Her captivating portraits of contemporary women are a masterful blend of abstract expressionism and portrait painting, featuring vibrant blooms that create a dreamlike aura around her powerful subjects. Virginie Schroeder is an innovative artist based in Quebec, Canada. Her paintings are made to inspire new artistic visions while impressing with their stunning technicality. The centerpieces of Ekaterina’s paintings are feminine forms that, sensuously but self-assuredly identify themselves with their role. Along with single figures, we also find groups or pairs of women touching, caressing, or casting each other promising glances. Expressive faces with large, bright almond eyes, much like those of the artist herself. The erotic depiction as it is expressed here has a very personal characteristic. Perhaps this authenticity is the deciding factor in its effect. Ekaterina’s paintings are in a sense a painted diary of sensual daydreams. Dreams which, deep down, many of us share.
Ekaterina Moré´s work touches the emotional world of the viewer in a most pleasant fashion. Her sensitive grasp of the interaction between color and form is the basis for her impressive compositions.
