Having placed the bowl on his left hand, the monk is protecting the content with his right one. He is peacefully looking upwards, in a prayerful attitude. He is dressed with a thin robe uncovering his right shoulder, the fabric falling delicately on his left side. He is sitting on a base in a single lotus position. The bowl comes off as shown on image 9. The back is decorated as well, with less details than the front. With its nice depiction and dark patina, this vintage bronze praying Buddhist monk statue...
