It was here that I learnt the art of printmaking and then continued my studies at the Norwich School of Art doing a degree in graphic design. City of Surprises is created from an original photograph taken from Greenwich Park. It features one of my favourite views of the London skyline - boasting some of the city’s most famous landmarks in a single line with one small difference - for legal reasons. The London Eye, Shard, BT Tower, St Paul’s Cathedral, and the Cheesegrater are all there, alongside one building that I’ve been asked not to feature in my work by its lawyers. Can you spot it? I love the shapes of the view’s outline so I have replaced the building that shall not be named with the head of shark. The ‘new’ London skyline is then laser-cut into gold mirror. City of Surprises is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 3 weeks.

Piper was born in 1903 in Epsom, Surrey, the son of a solicitor. Throughout his childhood, he regularly visited Italy, and by 1924 he had published a book of poems and his own illustrations. Riverside Oystercatchers by Rob Barnes is a limited edition linocut print using a Key Block and a Reduction Block resulting in several layers of printing. This landscape was inspired by a riverside walking area in Suffolk where there are often numerous Oystercatchers. Rob was trying to achieve a strong sunset image with Oystercatcher movement highlighted across the river. He is inspired by the East Anglian coast and landscape, much of which appears in his linocut prints. Many of these show Rob’s keen interest in the use of colour blends, light on water, and graduations of tone. Rob Barnes studied painting and printmaking at Hull College of Art and London University in the early 1960s. He taught etching, screen-printing, linocut and related surface printmaking at Keswick Hall College in Norfolk. He later moved to the University of East Anglia where he continued teaching in the School of Education until 2006. He is based in South Norfolk. He has exhibited regularly in London and many of his etchings and linocuts are in private collections, here and abroad. More recently he has returned to linocuts, enjoying the strong physical nature of this medium. His linocuts are inspired mainly by the landscape of East Anglia. Effects of light and colour, weather and atmosphere contribute to the final linocut. Recent work has been inspired by observing the changing fields and wildlife through the seasons. Coastal prints...

Aerial View of Cambride is a limited edition print by Clare Halifax. It is a three colour silkscreen print depicting Cambridge.
Clare Halifax graduated from the University of Loughborough in 2000 with a BA Hons in Printed Textile design and went on to sell her work internationally to the fashion and interior markets. In 2009 Clare Halifax completed an MA in Multi-disiciplinary printmaking at the University of the West of England, which saw her work develop into the production of limited edition prints and ceramic pieces. Having grown up in the South West of England, the inspiration for Clare’s work comes from the buildings that surrounded her and nostalgic reminisces of places and items of interest.
